Middle School Art 1

After being introduced to the history and techniques of different art mediums, Poe Middle School Art 1 students created multiple pieces of artwork to put in their portfolios. These lessons included Watercolor Painting, Paper Sculpture, Oil Pastel, Sewing, Paper Mache, Quilling, and Clay.

Oil Pastel Autumn Gourds

Students learned how to blend oil pastels while using a representational object from life.

Sewing Soft Sculptures

Students learned basic sewing techniques to create their own soft sculptures.

Clay Figurines

Students learned how stop-motion figurines are made, and created their own using armatures and basic clay modeling techniques.
